The Phoenix
oil on canvas, 24x24"

The words feather, flame, dawn, dusk, and I am alive, made me paint this person who is a lost homeless, head bent down under the load of his worries, a blanket on his lap, his only shelter. He is diluted in the foreground and the background at the same time. He might be invisible to the human race but he is visible to the universe. Belonging to the earth and the sky, in the process of metamorphosing into a phoenix, who revives from his ashes, he is alive.
