Like the inspiring poem The Delight Song of Tsoai-talee by N. Scott Momaday, my work strives to connect me to my place in the world. As part of that, Ive been committed to using what is on hand to create this year, which has included supplies in the studio and extended to recycled materials and food waste as well. While somewhat fugitive, handmade tints and inks help me see everything around me as part of the work that I make, and the beeswax makes a sarcophagus to retain it all.
